In John 14, Jesus pulls back the veil to reveal what is to come. The promise and new covenant given by Christ Jesus is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Truth—who will live with us, guiding us toward the fulfillment of Jesus' mission and ministry.

This Sunday, we begin building a bridge between the Spirit of God in the Old Testament and the Spirit of God in the New Testament by exploring the relationship of the Holy Spirit to Christ Jesus. In Week 2 of this study, we turn to John 1, where we see that Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit.

In Week 1 of this study, we turn to Isaiah 11, where we see that Jesus is the full and perfect embodiment of the Spirit of God and discover what we can expect as a result.

As we survey the work of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, we see the first 'filling' of the Spirit of God in a man named Bezalel, which also reveals one of the first spiritual gifts.

This week we completed our study of the Holy Spirit at the flood. Genesis 8 shows us the unique work of the Holy Spirit in bringing rest, worship, and restoring God and man.

As we survey the work of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, we come to Genesis 6 and 7, where we encounter new aspects of the Holy Spirit's work and nature, as well as the consequences when God's Spirit no longer leads humanity.

This week we begin looking at the nature and work of the Holy Spirit and the way He brings chaos into order.

Our series, The Holy Spirit of God, continues into week three as we focus on the second person of the Godhead, God the Son, Jesus Christ.
